Biographical Details

Cecil enlisted in the 12th Battalion in August 1915 in Claremont. He was 21 and a telephone mechanic. He transferred to the 3rd Field Ambulance Corps when he arrived in Egypt in February 1916 and generally worked in ambulance and hospital positions on the Western Front. He returned to Australia in October 1919 and worked in Hobart for 7ZL. He died in Victoria in 1975.
