Biographical Details

Allan was one of a group of Holy Trinity men who enlisted in August 1915 in the 6th Field Artillery and went to Europe on the Persic. Allan suffered greatly from gastro-enteritis, ulcerated stomach and valvular disease of the heart and was returned to Australia in August 1918. He returned to his job as a draper and married Lila Boutcher in 1921, living in Trevallyn and then West Launceston.
