Biographical Details
Leslie had been working at Dempsters as a salesman for four years prior to enlisting in the 6th Field Artillery in August 1915. He saw service on the Western Front in 1916/1917 but returned to Australia in September 1917 after being diagnosed with Dupuytren's contraction caused by burns in 1912. He married Elvin Foster in 1918 but died only four years later aged thirty two.
