Biographical Details

Our war memorial gives his name as Cyril but his war record has him as Cecil. He was born in England in 1884 and he enlisted in the Field Artillery on 12 January 1917. He did not leave for France until November and proceeded to the Front in July 1918. Soon afterwards Cyril was injured in the field fracturing his right arm. He returned to Australia in December 1918. In later life Cyril took Holy Orders and worked at Ross and Cullenswood. He died in 1976 at Scottsdale.
