Biographical Details

Cyril was born in Sydney in 1888 and married Christine Peppiatt at St George's Invermay in 1913. He enlisted at Claremont in April 1916 and left for France on 1 July. He was wounded in action on 31 January 1917, shell shock, and on 7 June 1917, gas poisoning. He was promoted to sergeant in April 1918 and returned to Australia in June 1919. Cyril died in Launceston in 1970 aged eighty two.
