Biographical Details
Horace was one of the four Rouse brothers who enlisted in 1915/1916. He joined the 2nd Battalion of Cyclists and embarked on HMTS Commonwealth from Melbourne in September 1916. After training in England he proceeded to France in March 1917 and was wounded in action the following September, serious gunshot wound to the knee. He returned to Australia on the Boonah in July 1918, and from 1921, lived in Victoria until his death.
