Biographical Details

Eric saw service in both World Wars. He was a carpenter and living at King Street, Invermay when he enlisted in the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade in 1915. He was to see action in Gallipoli and France before returning to Australia in 1919. Eric worked for the NSW Public Works before re-enlisting in May 1940 and active service in Nauru before being discharged with abdominal injuries in October 1942. Eric continued to live in New South Wales and died at Guildford in 1962. His name should have been written on the memorial as Browne.
