Biographical Details

Like his brothers, Colin and Lindsay, George was baptised at Holy Trinity. He was a mining engineer and 28 years old when he enlisted at Liverpool, NSW, in January 1915. George left Sydney in September and took part in the Gallipoli Campaign, November 1915. He left Alexandria for the Western Front in March 1916 and was wounded in action on 23 July. He died of his wounds 3 September 1916.
