Biographical Details

The first of four Sams brothers to enlist. Colin was born in 1894 and attended Stanley Model School. He enlisted at Holdsworthy, NSW for the 6th Light Horse Regiment and spent his war years fighting in the Palestine Campaign. He was at Beersheba in April 1917. Colin returned to Australia in June 1919 and moved to Lismore, NSW and then farmed at Murwillumbah. He died in 1977.
