Biographical Details

Arth is one of the many men killed on the Western Front for whom there is no known resting place. He was reported missing in action on 15th April 1917 presumed killed. Arthur had enlisted in the 12th Battalion in August 1915 when he was thirty two. He had worked as a cooper but also for the Tasmanian Turf Club. Arthur embarked for France in February 1916 and after training in Egypt and England he joined his regiment at the front in August.
